William Martin Junior School take title for 2nd Year to become Harlow SSP Boys Football Champions 2011
On Tuesday 18th October 2011 9 teams from 8 Harlow Primary schools turned up at Mark Hall to compete for the title of Harlow Boys Champions 2011.
The schools had all come in the top three of their qualifying events to make the final with a total of 27 primary school teams have entered the event meaning 270 boys have taken part.
The teams in the final were from Church Langley, Fawbert & Barnard (2 teams), Henry Moore, Pear Tree Mead, Nazeing, Roydon, St Albans and William Martin Junior School.
After some close pool matches the top 3 teams all played each other in a final round robin group to decide the overall winners. William Martin Junior School continued their winning run by beating Henry Moore and St Albans to become champions for the second year in a row and will represent Harlow SSP at the Essex County Final on 17th November. The standard of football was very good and the whole event has been delivered in partnership with and fully supported by Harlow College Football Academy, Mark Hall School, Mark Hall Sports Centre, Mark Hall Youth FC and Passmores Academy event.
