Schools can enter into one of the three Cross Country Competitions which will be run at the schools own venue (Level 2 competition) with the winning times going forward to represent Harlow in the Essex Level 3 County Finals.

Distances are as follows:

Years 1/2 – 500m

Years 3/4 – 1000m

Years 5/6 – 1500m

Schools can set out a 500m course (flat ground where possible) and encourage the children to run the required distances. Runners should be timed by a competent member of staff with schools submitting the fastest times from the TOP 4 Boys and the TOP 4 Girls in each category (i.e. Years 1/2; Years 3/4 and Years 5/6).
