Well done to everyone who made the effort to attend the Boccia and Curling events at the Harlow Leisure Zone. Despite the events being hastily rescheduled we were still able to accommodate 25 teams (15 Years 3/4 and 10 Years 5/6). The 16 Sports Leaders from Church Langley were fantastic and enabled all the competitors to constantly be involved, making great efforts to be supportive and encouraging. As always the delight on the children’s faces made all the stress of organisation totally worthwhile; these events are very humbling and everyone gains so much.
The teams participating were as follows:
Years 3/4 (morning)
Potter Street x 2, St Lukes x 2, William Martin, Tanys Dell, Hatfield Heath x 3, Purford Green, Milwards, Pear Tree Mead x 2 and Church Langley x 2
Years 5/6 (afternoon)
Potter Street x 2, St Lukes x 2, William Martin, Tanys Dell, Purford Green, Pear Tree Mead and Church Langley x 2
Although these events were run as festivals, we are delighted to put forward teams from Purford Green and St Lukes 1 to represent Harlow in the forthcoming Level 3 Boccia event at Mark Hall Academy on Thursday 11thJanuary 2018.
