Congratulations to the team from Fawbert and Barnard's School who dodged and ducked their way to victory in a hard fought win against William martin in the Final.
With 10 teams having qualified from last week's events, the 2 groups were very evenly matched, with some excellent (and at times brutal) play. After a series of games, Jerounds and Cooks Spinney finished as runners-up of their respective groups (both by virtual of a set count back) and played off for 3rd and 4th place. Fawbert and Barnard and William Martin both tied their groups, progressing through to the finals by way of a better number of sets won. As with most games in the afternoon, the advantage ebbed and flowed. Eventually Fawbert and Barnard secured victory 3-0.
They will now represent Harlow in the County Finals on Friday 13th January at Deanes School, Thundersley. We wish them all the best.
Thanks were given to Mr Stacey (SGO Harlow) and Mrs Pardoe (Church Langley) for ensuring the event was ahead of schedule and ran so well. Over!
