Once again we are off and running; this year’s first festival of the academic season began in blazing sunshine. 17 teams turned out on the all-weather pitch at the Mark Hall Academy to take part in an afternoon of friendly (but competitive) matches. The games were played with a really good spirit and the standard of football was very impressive; the number of teams that tried to pass the ball on the floor (as opposed to just hoofing it long) was great to witness and many players visibly grew in confidence as the games when on.
Our thanks to MHA, the staff of the schools involved, the parents and the 3 referees who ensured that the 28 games ran to time, with no issues (or rolling around on the floor after being tackled!)
